Characteristics of Person’s Compensatory Adaptation in Emergency

Abstract

This article presents the theoretical-methodo­logical review of person’s adaptation in emergen­cy. The object of investigation is characteristics of person’s compensatory adaptation. The general goal of research is observation and determination of positive and negative features deal with the peculiarities of person’s adaptation. The methodo­logy of research is based on the works of T.Shibu­tani, S.Rubinshtain, F.Vasiljuk about emergency, crisis and the works of Z.Freud and A.Adler about compensation as a way of defense. In the result of the research it is presented the concept of person’s compensatory adaptation. Constructive and dest­ructive features of adaptation are presented too. Compensation is characterized as a defensive me­chanism of distribution of the psychological re­sources of person’s adaptation.
