The present 2(32), 2025 December issue of WISDOM brings together a diverse yet conceptually coherent set of studies addressing key philosophical questions at the intersection of epistemology, culture, social life, and human existence. The articles collected in this volume reflect the journal’s ongoing commitment to fostering rigorous philosophical inquiry while encouraging interdisciplinary dialogue across the humanities and social sciences.
Several contributions in this issue focus on methodological and epistemological foundations of contemporary philosophical research. The analysis of science as a vocation revisits the logic of argumentation and reconsiders Max Weber’s intellectual legacy, while another study highlights the significance of hermeneutic methodology for understanding the evolving research object of the social sciences and humanities. Together, these works underscore the continued relevance of methodological reflection in philosophical scholarship.
A substantial part of the issue is devoted to social philosophy and cultural analysis, examining how meanings, values, and subjectivities are formed within specific historical and social contexts. Articles addressing the perception of the other in the framework of workplace well-being and the role of satire in constructing modern subjectivity in the South Caucasus reveal how power, discourse, and social norms operate in everyday and institutional settings. These studies contribute to contemporary debates on social regulation, identity, and the dynamics of modernity.
The issue also includes research situated within philosophy of religion and philosophy of culture, offering historical and ontological perspectives on cultural meaning. Analyses of Armenian Christian homiletic tradition and everyday temporality as a foundation of cultural semantic unity explore the deep interrelation between time, culture, and human experience. These contributions emphasize the importance of historical memory, temporality, and symbolic structures in shaping cultural identity.
Questions of human existence and meaning form another thematic axis of the volume. The philosophical analysis of the meaning of life engages with enduring existential concerns, reaffirming the relevance of philosophical anthropology in a rapidly changing world marked by uncertainty and transformation.
Finally, the Academic Life section documents the journal’s active engagement with contemporary philosophical discourse through open lectures and international scholarly events. These materials reflect WISDOM’s role not only as a platform for publication but also as a space of intellectual exchange and academic presence.
Taken together, the contributions of this issue demonstrate the vitality of philosophical thought in addressing both timeless and contemporary challenges. By bringing diverse perspectives into dialogue, this volume continues WISDOM’s mission to promote thoughtful, critical, and socially engaged philosophy.
